Network marketing business is a business that has been around for over 70+ years, but unfortunately, there are still many people who have not yet understood about its existence and there are those who are aware of its existence, but they don’t know how it is done.

Many rich and famous men like the late Jim Rhon, Robert Kiyosaki, Warren Buffet and others have taken time to talk about network marketing so that people get the insight about the industry but still some people have not taken time to learn it. Robert Kiyosaki an author of books like; Rich Dad Poor Dad, The business school and very many others wrote a book and referred network marketing to be the business of the 21st century.

There is another challenge of misinterpreting the nature of network marketing. There are many people in the world who think that network marketing is about looking for people and put them together to help the owner of the company become rich. This is not true here is the summary of what network marketing mean;

All rich people in life have networks of people they work with to multiply their time to make more money. If an employer has 200 employees and each employee work for 8 hours a day, this means that the employer will be working for 1600 hours a day by multiplying all the hours the employees sell to him.

Since many people don’t have enough capital to own a big business, which employs over 200 employees, network marketing help them do it, they get people to help them succeed and in the same process they also succeed. That is what network marketing is all about. To build a large network of people even without having too much capital to invest in big business.

Here are the five reasons why most prospects don’t understand network marketing business

  • It is not taught in school

We are so much driven by the power of things which are taught in schools. We don’t welcome new ideas after leaving the school yet life works different from the way teachers teach us in schools. Network marketing is not included in school syllabus. They only teach the ordinary chain distribution where the products move from a manufacturer, to the wholesaler, then to the retailer and to the final consumer.

Students are not taught that there is a system called network marketing system where the products move from the manufacturers to the distributors and then to the final consumer. This is one of the reasons many prospects don’t understand network marketing business.

  • The business is not advertised

Since many people don’t see adverts about the network marketing opportunities and the products sold by the network marketing companies, distributors find it a challenge to explain what the industry is all about. People are so much used to watch, read and listen to ads about products and opportunities on the market. The fact is there is nothing like running ads in network marketing because the money for ads is paid to the distributors who do the job of distributing the products that is why they are paid a lot of money.

  • Many people have small dreams

Many people don’t understand exactly how people doing network marketing are paid a lot of money. This is because of the small dreams they have. When someone has a small dream, even if you tell him that he can earn a million dollar a year he will never believe it. For them they are used to statements like, you can have a nice job to pay you well. This makes prospects not understand the network marketing industry.

  • Most people present the network marketing opportunity in the wrong way

Many network marketing business builders go wrong in the process of presenting the business and the prospects get lost. They present the company instead of presenting the opportunity. The reality is there is a difference between a network marketing company and an opportunity behind it. The company could be not a good one, but when the opportunity behind it is good. So, for people doing network marketing, learn how to do the best presentation for prospects to understand network marketing concept.

  • Most people think it is completely a sales business

The statement, “those things are for sales people” is one of the statements I have been hearing from the many prospects I try to talk to about my network marketing opportunity. Because in network marketing there is selling of products and services therefore, people think that we are completely sales people and we have PhDs in sales. This wrong, network marketing business is building a network of people and each sales little for the entire team to succeed.
